2 days, 1 night
From Rum Village we will hike through the Rakabet Canyon to traverse the massif of Jebel Um Ishrin, which will take about two and a half hours. In the valley of Um Ishrin we will take tea and a short rest. We continue by jeep to the Burrah Canyon, stopping to see the sand dunes of Um Ishrin, the Nabatean inscriptions, and Lawrence’s House. Following that, we will have lunch in the canyon. After lunch and a rest period we will cross over to Red El Beidha, which will require some rock scrambling. This route is not difficult, but can be a bit tiring and requires a decent level of fitness. This portion of the trip will take about two hours. At the end of the canyon we will proceed by jeep to Jebel Burdah to visit the Burdah Rock Bridge. We will camp near Burdah for the evening and have dinner, with the opportunity to sleep under the stars.
In the morning after breakfast, we climb up to the bridge which takes half an hour. We will take a different route back down the mountain to the campsite, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon we will travel by jeep to Khazali Canyon to view the Talmudic and Nabatean inscriptions. Afterward, we will move on to the Sunset place to watch the colours of the desert change with the setting sun. In the evening, we will return to Wadi Rum Village.
